About the Job

Consumer Sales and Service Manager position is responsible for supporting customer and sales expectations while developing employees and leading initiatives that support progressive and efficient practices. The individual will also work with the Supply Chain Team to help ensure that join initiatives, customer scorecards, Vendor Managed Inventory, and returns reductions are achieved/measured through information management and reporting. This position regularly interacts with Sales, Operations, Transportation and Inventory Management.

REPORTING

Reports to the Director, Consumer Affairs & Services.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Plan and direct activities of customer service to meet the needs of customers and support company operations
  • Develop procedures and administers activities to assure accurate order entry, efficient shipment tracking, timely delivery of products to customers and to maximize fill rate
  • Advise his/her team on inquiries regarding orders, shipments and product
  • Develop and maintain order management plans for key customers
  • Recruit, develop and retain a strong team through mentoring and coaching
  • Direct Customer Service projects
  • Build and maintain customer relationships
  • Provide sales team with accurate and timely data to foster communications to our customers
  • Support customer escalations to ensure customer satisfaction

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Distribution Center exposure
  • Participation on collaborative projects involving Customer Service
  • Strong leadership and communication skills
  • Strong multi-task skills
  • Ability to work multiple levels in an organization
  • Customer Service knowledge – understand departments impact within the Supply Chain
  • Previous Telesales/Sales experience a plus
  • Data analysis – evaluate data to maximize product availability and order fulfillment
  • Analytical ability - the ability to successfully interact with internal partners to problem solve to achieve goals
  • Knowledge of SAP & Microsoft Office applications
