About the Job

This position is responsible for providing the direction and means to assure the quality of products under the plant’s supervision in conformity with established standards and specifications. Leads a multidisciplinary team of engineers, documentation control specialists, and technicians. Overall responsibility for leading the corporate product quality systems, including the setting of quality goals, managing and improving all aspects of the quality system and product quality with an emphasis on customer use and expectations.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Ensure knowledge and practice of the Group’s Quality Systems and Procedures within the Plant
  • Direct all IQ operations and ensure compliance to all governmental legal regulations
  • Anticipate and identify needs (in terms of new technologies, changing regulations, etc.) and adapt resources
  • Prepare and manage operating and investment budgets
  • Interface with suppliers and purchasing for all quality related issues
  • Responsible for company’s product quality and reliability to meet or exceed customer expectations
  • Responsible for company’s Quality Compliance to ensure compliance with regulatory agencies and all applicable standards worldwide
  • Develop and execute quality design and quality assurance strategy for new product development and sustaining business activities
  • Effectively create and support process enhancement initiatives to maintain an environment of continuous improvement throughout the organization
  • In support of the quality system, provide effective leadership support, training and guidance to all company
  • Working closely with Manufacturing Engineering and Production to ensure compliance within manufacturing and high product quality
  • Develop strategies to assure manufacturing processes produce the highest possible quality while providing a seamless supply of quality product to customers at the lowest possible cost
  • Develop and manage a QA organization which includes participating in the evaluation and career development decisions affecting employees working in the Quality disciplines and leading a team of professionals, continually encouraging 100% employee engagement

QUALIFICATIONS

  • BA/BS undergraduate degree in life sciences, engineering or business, Advanced Degree desired
  • 15+ years quality and regulatory experience
  • 5+ years electronics or consumer device manufacturing experience, desired
  • ASQ certification as CQE
  • Green/Black Belt certification desirable
  • Experience in strategic planning and collaboration with executive and key operational groups
  • Progressive & proven record of leadership and managing quality & regulatory with global responsibility and establishing long term strategic growth initiatives
  • Extensive experience with all phases of the product development lifecycle, including concept, design, implementation, verification and validation activities necessary for product commercialization
  • High level of personal and professional integrity and trustworthiness with strong work ethic and the ability to work independently
  • Excellent interpersonal/communications and presentation skills
  • Ability to develop and manage a high performance team focused on accountability and meeting and exceeding expectations
  • Ability to lead, influence, create and work within cross-functional team environments
  • Assertive, take-charge, proven manager with a strong results orientation, positive “can do” attitude and a sense of urgency to get things done
