About the Job

The Director of Infrastructure is responsible for enterprise technology infrastructure and operational functions that include middleware technologies, storage, database, hardware systems, telecommunications and networking, personal computing, mobile, and email for Clarisonic. This role manages the design, build, enhancement and integration of infrastructure required to support the business portfolio or infrastructure platforms in terms of robustness, scalability, availability, efficiency while managing risk. Support initiatives that deliver workable end-to-end infrastructure solutions that are sustainable and supportable for the enterprise. Work closely with the IT Directors of SAP, Digital and Marketing and Sales and L’Oréal leadership to design solutions that meet their need and insuring those solutions meet Operational and Architectural standards.

This Director will supervise a team of technology professionals, while working closely with management, external vendors and advisors. This resource will prepare financial budgets and present proposals for capital projects to senior executives. Additional job duties may include researching and recommending new products, identifying new market opportunities and leading efforts to improve IT processes.

REPORTING - Reports to the AVP of Information Systems at Clarisonic

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Technology Industry Knowledge: Familiar with wide variety of computing technologies and trends in industry
  • System integration and design: Ability to understand application, network and system capabilities and produce infrastructure designs that meet business requirements.
  • Delivery systems architecture: Familiarity with server and storage technologies and ability to integrate components into an efficient computing infrastructure.
  • Information Technology fluency: Ability to use computing productivity tools to create reports and presentations to provide project status and system performance information to leaders and customers.
  • Information protection: Familiarity with industry tools and technologies needed to protect company assets and data.
  • Systems thinking: Ability to perceive underlying practices that affect computing system performance and identify potential systems improvements.
  • Must possess excellent leadership, management and communication skills.
  • Project management: Ability to lead project teams to achieve project objectives. Assumes familiarity with project management tools and methodologies.
  • Systems testing: Ability to define and perform system and network testing to identify issues and problems. Includes production and presentation of test reports.
  • Responsible for establishing the strategic direction for the selection and implementation of enterprise technologies in alignment with corporate initiatives.
  • Oversees and manages all aspects of the multi-million dollar technology operating budget including reviewing cost estimates for personnel requirements, new hardware, software upgrades or additions, and external consulting projects in support of other departments
  • Maintain frequent interactions with management to review internal and external operations that are impacted by technology including contracts, licenses, credits, for services and equipment.
  • Provides leadership role in the design and implementation of software development and support, operating system software and productivity tools.
  • Develops plans for migration of technologies to support necessary future directions.
  • Develops long range development & infrastructure architecture and strategy.
  • Provides enterprise-wide direction on the use of emerging technologies for IT satellite operations, including subsidiaries, partnerships and other areas.
  • Defines and delivers paths for necessary business capacity- Delivery of timely, cost effective, high quality global infrastructure to support application development, physical expansion of sites, and acquisitions all following Federal Regulator/Audit requirements.
  • Drive the implementation a global, self-sustaining, flexible staffing model which increases throughput and productivity. Include elements of Clarisonic Employees, Onshore Consultants, Offshore Consultants and targeted functional outsourcing.
  • Provides support to user groups in the use of enterprise computer and communications environment.
  • Provides direction to all IT functions in computer and communication technology to maintain the maximum efficiency of the enterprise capital and human resources including hardware, software, and personnel.
  • Develops and maintain effective working relationships with all areas of the organization, groups and personnel with who work must be coordinated or interfaced

QUALIFICATIONS

  • 10 or more years IT management experience in the infrastructure space
  • Experience managing large teams of onshore & offshore
  • Experience with Service Management and strong familiarity with ITIL
  • Record of achievement in pressured, change oriented environment
  • Experience developing business cases
  • Ability to travel
  • Preferably certified in CISCO CCNP® Data Center Certification
  • Preferably certified in Microsoft Certified Solutions Expert (MCSE)
