About the Job

Provide processes engineering expertise for a fast growing high volume production operation. Principle goals are to characterize, improve and investigate current and future critical manufacturing technologies. Additional duties include assisting other aspects of production as needed, including automation and manufacturing engineering. Position affords the opportunity to drive critical aspects of the production operation.

REPORTING

Reports to the Manufacturing Engineering Manager.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

• Take ownership of critical manufacturing processes
• Conduct process development experiments to scale in manufacturing
• Define, implement and maintain process controls
• Perform process characterizations, qualifications, and validations

QUALIFICATIONS

• BS in engineering preferred
• 7+ years related experience
• Significant experience with process and equipment validations
• Significant knowledge of materials and testing methodology
• Experience with typical manufacturing technologies and processes such ultrasonic welding, soldering, adhesive dispensing, etc.
• Knowledge of statistics and related topics including SPC, MSA, and DOE
• Experience in a high-volume manufacturing environment
• Experience in BQMS, GMP, ISO, project management and document control systems
• Experience with a statistical software package such as JMP or Minitab
• Experience with 3D solid modeling (SolidWorks preferred)
