Clarisonic Skin Care Brush Powers Up, DiMassimo Goldstein Charged with Taking Brand to Next Level

After an extensive agency search, Pacific Bioscience Laboratories Inc. (PBL), makers of the CLARISONIC Skin Care Brush, have awarded their branding and advertising business to New York-based DiMassimoGoldstein. “Clarisonic is changing the way people care for their skin. We are incredibly excited to help them transform people’s skin care rituals” said Mark DiMassimo, agency founder and CEO. Effective immediately, DiMassimoGoldstein will oversee and execute all integrated creative initiatives including print, broadcast, in-store, point of sale, online, buzz/viral and direct response outreach on behalf of the company. “They approach health and beauty from a different perspective. The DiMassimoGoldstein / PBL partnership comes on the heels of several other strategic moves for the company, including the addition of two new esteemed members to their board of directors, Jane McKellar of Stila fame and Joel Kanter, President of Windy City, Inc., a privately held investment firm. Earlier this year, PBL also announced closing on a $10.5 million private equity placement that is comprised of qualified angel investors and a major investment by Rosewood Capital, a San Francisco private equity firm. The new financing is already in motion to fund expansion plans, from flawlessly executing an extensive advertising campaign to accelerating Clarisonic’s rollout in the marketplace with new product development.

DiMassimoGoldstein will implement an integrated advertising and branding campaign to further catapult PBL to new heights of consumer awareness and help solidify its niche and stronghold in the skin care arena.
