Clarisonic sonic cleansing reduces the appearance of photoaging
Study Objective:
Evaluate the effectiveness of Clarisonic Cleansing System used in conjunction with topical products for photoaging
Methodology:
- 22 subjects with mild to moderate signs of photoaging participated in the study
- Half of the subjects used a topical product containing idebenone and a copper peptide night cream while the other half used a topical product containing Vitamins C, E and ferulic acid and a copper peptide night cream
- One side of the face was cleansed with the sonic cleansing, the other cleansed manually with a gentle, non-foaming cleanser
- After cleansing, subjects applied the topical antioxidant products
- Photos and evaluations were completed at 2, 4, 6 and 8 weeks
Results:
- Use of Clarisonic sonic cleansing system was shown to reduce the appearance of photoaging
