It also effectively cleanses the neck, back, décolleté (upper chest), shoulders, arms and the back of the hands. We also offer the Clarisonic PLUS for Face and Body.

* Consult your skin care professional. Do not use the Sonic Skin Cleansing System with mechanical exfoliants such as microbeads or shells.

Can I use the Sonic Skin Cleansing System if I have acne or if I have other skin conditions?

It is recommended that you do not share a brush head with another individual. Do not share brushes if you or any other user has any skin conditions.

How do I clean my Sonic Skin Cleansing System?

Once a week, wash the brush head and the handle separately using warm soapy water to remove any residue buildup. The handle is sealed and fully waterproof. Never attempt to open the brush handle for any reason. To dry the brush after use, rub the brush head against a towel for 5–10 seconds while it is powered on. Do not use abrasive cleaners or chemicals to clean any part of the handle or brush head. Do not put any part of the handle in a dishwasher.

Unplug the charging cradle before you clean it. After unplugging the cradle, wipe it with a soft, damp cloth. Do not immerse the cradle in water.

How often should I charge my Sonic Skin Cleansing System?

Refer to the comparison chart for charging intervals. When the charge is low, the brush handle will beep immediately following the brushing cycle to alert you to place it in the cradle for charging.

How often should I replace the brush head?

We recommend replacing your brush head every 3–4 months.

I’ve lost my user guide, how do I reset the T–Timer?

Please refer to the downloadable user guide for instructions.

What are the batteries made of?

Nickel–Metal Hydride (commonly abbreviated as NiMH).

What are the two flashing red lights at the back of the handle after use?

They come on when the unit is turned off during the cleansing cycle, and flash for 30 seconds. They indicate that the unit is in “pause mode”, and that the T–TIMER is paused and will resume when the unit is turned back on. If both the green and orange light (classic only) blink at the end, it means the unit needs to be recharged.

Sonic Infusion Questions
What is the Clarisonic Opal Sonic Infusion System?

It’s our newest innovation combining sonic infusion technology with our Anti-Aging Sea Serum. The Clarisonic Opal utilizes sonic technology to more effectively apply serum, replacing traditional methods. It complements Clarisonic cleansing to become the second critical step in your sonic skin care ritual.

Why is sonic infusion unique?

The Clarisonic Opal Infusion System uses soothing sonic motions to gently massage Opal’s Anti-Aging Sea Serum into the outer layers of epidermis where it begins to work immediately. How big is Opal?

How does sonic infusion compare to manual application of serums?

In a consumer use study, women perceived an improvement of serum absorption into the skin, and better results than with their previous method of fingertip application. Watch the video.

The serum includes several key ingredients, including Canadian Willowherb, marine-derived Glycosaminoglycans, African Sausage Tree Fruit Extract, Oat Kernel Extract, marine-derived proteins (collagen, elastin and Acetyl Citrull Amido Arginine a peptide) and natural humectants including Trehalose (a water-binding component of desert plants). View all ingredients.

Can I use Opal with other serums?

The Clarisonic Anti-Aging Sea Serum was scientifically developed over a 2-year period for optimum results with the Opal Sonic Infuser. In developing a serum for optimum results, we tested the serum’s thickness, consistency, effectiveness and the overall dynamics with the Sonic Infuser. We cannot speak to the efficacy or effect on the skin when using any other products, and we cannot recommend that you use the sonic infuser with other formulations.

Allow 24 hours for a full charge. A full battery charge lasts for 45 minutes of use, which is approximately 45 days when used once a day around each eye or 21 days when used twice a day.

Please refer to user guide for charging instructions, more extensive information, and instructions for use.

How do I know when the Infuser needs to be recharged?

When the system battery needs to be charged, the LED flashes and the Infuser pulses progressively from 1 to 5 times after the run cycle, beginning when the unit has 5 minutes of charge remaining (1 pulse), and again at the end of each use until the battery requires additional charge for continued use (5 pulses).

Can Opal be used around the world?

Yes. The Opal charging base is universal (100-240 VAC, 50/60 Hz) for use worldwide with an appropriate country adapter.

Can I use the Opal charging base with any other Clarisonic products, such as a Sonic Skin Cleansing System?

No. Each Clarisonic product has its own uniquely designed charger.

How do I clean the Applicator Tip?

Gently dab clean with an alcohol swab or moistened tissue. Never immerse or hold under running water. Rubbing with a cloth too hard may cause the soft silicone to separate from the base.

How do I know when the Dispenser Cap is running low?

When the serum level is getting low, the Dispenser Cap begins to feel very light and may require multiple pushes of the dispensing button.

Why is nothing coming out when I press the dispensing button?

The dispenser may need to be primed on a new Dispenser Cap. Push the dispensing button several times to prime the dispenser. Occasionally an air bubble will develop; press the dispensing button to push out the air and begin the flow of serum.

No. The Opal and the charging base are water resistant but not waterproof. Do not immerse or hold the Infuser or charging base under running water.
