1. Prep in advance.
Not a lot of brides think to do this, but for flawless wedding makeup you should start prepping your skin months in advance! I would recommend consistent, both morning and night with a tool like the Clarisonic Mia 1 or Mia 2 a few months before your big day. These tools are fantastic at removing excess dirt and oil, improving radiance and help keep your skin clear!
Exfoliation is another skin care step that’s often forgotten but is crucial! Exfoliating removes excess oils and impurities to help with dullness, dark spots, acne scarring and even pores! You can turn your normal Clarisonic face brush into an when you use it with your favorite exfoliating scrub for . Or if you’re trying to get tan before your big day, check out Clarisonic’s Smart Turbo Body Cleansing Brush Head to exfoliate and prep your body for spray tans!
3. Apply Skin Care Essentials First.
Before you apply your makeup on the big day, don’t forget to apply skin care products as your base! Cleanse skin with your Clarisonic face brush first, then apply your toner, moisturizer and eye cream. The toner will help to even out the PH balance in your skin, then the moisturizer and eye cream will ensure your skin is fully prepped and hydrated! To finish it off, remember to apply a primer that works well with your skin-type
4. Make Perfect Foundation Application Easy.
It’s so much easier to blend out my liquid and cream makeup since the new Clarisonic makeup foundation brush launched! It’s the ultimate makeup blender. It blends even full coverage makeup products and leaves no patches or brush strokes! I use it to apply my liquid foundation first, and then layer on my cream bronzer, contour or concealer afterwards.
5. Set the finished look.
Setting your makeup is another key step that’s often overlooked! I always set my makeup with a setting spray to lock it in place once I’m done applying my makeup, but I’ll also spray my face after applying my primer in the beginning too! The setting spray just helps the components last longer, and if your primer is the glue holding everything together, you definitely want that to last as long as possible! Test it out sometime before your wedding and see what you think!
